We have FINALLY opened the doors of DESTINATIONS for business!! We are excited with the response from students and the neighborhood. We are looking forward to what God has in mind for this “tool” He has helped us get under way.

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

It’s been a VERY LONG road, but we the end is beginning to come into view. The tile for the kitchen and bathroom floors has been laid. The sheetrock is up and almost completely mudded. The electrical work will be completed soon and the painting will follow. No dates for opening yet, but keep in touch!

Insulation in – Sheetrock going up!

The insulation for the exterior walls was “blown on” last week, and the interior walls were “stuffed” with fiber glass insulation. The sheetrocking began on Saturday, Sept. 19 with about 7 men helping. With 11′ walls and ceilings, the kitchen was about the only room that was “rocked”. There is still one wall on both sides that needs to be completed, but progress is coming. Many thanks to the men who have helped!

We are FINALLY able to see the light at the end of the tunnel on the remodelling of this 1915 building!! The electrical work has been completed for the rough-in and has been inspected and passed! Insulation will be completed the week of Sept. 14. Sheetrocking will be done the weekend of Sept. 18-19. Barring any other unseen “road blocks”, the opening date for DESTINATIONS is just weeks away.

DESTINATIONS is FINALLY seeing the light at the end of the tunnerl. September should be full of dust and installing and finishing the touches for the coffee house ministry to UNL.
